About the Project

The Brooks Insurance Recommendation report investigates the best practices and trends within insurance agencies regarding social media, what clients are looking for within an insurance company's social media platform, and how to capture the attention of the younger generation.

Dess Bowley

I wrote the methodology section for this project. I also contributed towards the analysis, review of literature, local survey, forming recommendations, annotated bibliography, and the team memo Major: Social Work

For this project I wrote the executive summary and the appendix. I also contributed towards the analysis, forming recommendations, the annotated bibliography, and the team memo. Major: Social Work

Sophia Taylor

During this project I was the team manager as well as the website designer. Other contributions toward this project were in the analysis portion, the local study survey questions, the recommendation list, the annotated bibliography, and the team memo. Major: Public Policy

What is W231 Professional Writing Skills? 

Professional Writing Skills is a required course for most majors. This is designed to: 

  • Foster community engagement

  • Facilitate group communication and cooperation skills 

  • Give back to community businesses and organizations

  • Teach students how to assemble a formal recommendation report

  • Keep the client the center focus of all the writing and investigation

  • Encourage critical thinking and analysis skill set
